Butter My Biscuits
I am a TERRIBLE marathon trainer…. I have not even done so much as walk down my driveway ONCE since I planned to begin training. In my lazy defense (and I am completely aware that am just giving excuses here)… I have a newborn whom I wake up 2-3 times in the night for an hour each time to feed… so forgive me for not getting up at 5:30am to go running (because after that Paul is gone for the day and I can’t very well leave my children alone)…
ALTHOUGH… I have done the Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred work-out TWICE… and it kicked my ever loving butt!!! WOW… what a work out…I love it!! And she’s motivating… Unlike Carmen Electra… please, let me explain…. I bought Carmen Electra’s Stripersize dvd post Levynn thinking it would be fun (actually I think someone told me it would be) and that I would learn some sexy dance moves while whittling away at my chunky post baby body… Well… let me tell you… number one.. I can’t dance on a regular occasion… in fact the only time I am any good at dancing is when I am hammered (and who knows if I am actually good or just drunk enough that I can convince myself that I am)… number two… I don’t look like Carmen Electra… She has on some really cute workout outfits that show her nice, firm, tanned stomach… and I was wearing some UNder ARmour shorts and a old baggy t-shirt that did a good job of COMPLETELY covering my white, stretchmark covered, saggy, flapping stomach…. number three… I’m not Carmen Electra (did I mention she’s really freaking cute…I mean, she could stand up there and do the chicken dance and take off her clothes and her man would be all turned on… I on the other hand… not so much)… SO there I was… dancing away to this stupid dvd and feeling extremely gross… And so at the end of this work out I was suppose to feel all sweaty and jazzed up and excited because HOORAY… I am learning how to dance like a stripper…. but all I felt was jiggly and fat… and SUPER clumsy… in fact… Carmen Electra’s Stripersize is worse for the self esteem than anything… I do believe it is fit for the pit… (sorry to steal your line Johnathon)
ANYWAY….. My fitness regime for today consisted of cooking t-bone steak on the BBQ complimented by a whiskey-cream sauce (PW’s recipe) and cheesy, buttery potatoes baked in the oven…. (and salad and peas obviously but who wants to hear bout that stuff)… and hutteritte bread and butter and yogurt for dessert… Oh boy am I ever good at cooking (not to pat myself on the back)… I would have licked that pans clean if Paul hadn’t beaten me to it!
Tomorrow I will learn whether or not my supper has cost me another pound or two… oh well… you only live once… and butter is REALLY REALLY good!
