Moi!

Howdy! My name is Katie Toney and I am a photographer, up-cycler, foodaholic, mother, wife and a Prairie girl by proxy.  I am also an aspiring (wannabe) writer, crafter, sewer… and the list goes on.  My football team is the Saskatchewan Roughriders and I won’t hold it against you if you’re a Stamps fan…… as long as you don’t win.

I began this blog as a way to deal with accidental life and the difficulty of accepting my new roles (which I now completely embrace).  This blog continues because I have an intense need to share my journey… my struggles, my triumphs… my embarrassments, my laughs, my recipes and my photos with whoever choses to participate.

I grew up on a farm in Southwestern Saskatchewan.  I dreamed up marrying young and having babies…. I went away to University and thought my life was on a different track…. until I re-met the love of my life.  We moved into our current house in 2008 (after I had moved a minor four times that previous year) and I have vowed never to leave….

My children make me giggle, tear my hair out and occasionally sob… but smile nonetheless.  There isn’t a single day where I don’t take time to appreciate my beautiful family and amazing life.  However, I do occasionally threaten to everyone in this house that I will sell them to the gypsies if they don’t shape up.  (This does also apply to my husband).

This blog is my home… please feel free to poke around… take off your hat and stay awhile… or just mosey on your way.. hey… I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea!!
